ZTE Grand X V970 3G Dual-Core Android Smartphone (Price,Specs,Review)

China’s electronics giant ZTE has recently launched the V970 also dubbed as the ZTE Grand X. It is powered by MTK6577 ARMv7 Cortex-A9 dual-core 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, this smartphone can run the latest apps and games with ease.

The body of the ZTE V970 comes in a rounded design with diagonal stripes adorning the back cover for a better grip and finger print free handling, with a thickness of only 9.9mm. It is almost identical to its older sibling, the ZTE U970.

ZTE V970 has a large 4.3 inch QHD IPS screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels at 16 million colors that supports 720p HD video playback showing very good results.

This smartphone is also equipped with a 0.3MP front camera for video calls and a 5.0MP rear camera that can shoot 720p video (1280 x 720) with sound maximum of 30 minutes.

Overall, the ZTE V970 is a very good Android smartphone for everyday use. Though it will be better if it is equipped with a more powerful battery instead of the 1600mAh rechargeable lithium battery that comes with the unit. It is priced at Php8027 or $194.
