Upcoming Releases: Cherry Mobile Flame and Cherry Mobile Omega

It looks like Pinoy phone maker Cherry Mobile is not yet done bumping up their Android smartphone lineup with the previous releases of Flare, Titan and Skyfire. They will be releasing two more models, the Cherry Mobile Flame and Cherry Mobile Omega, to strengthen their hold on the booming Philippine Android phone market. These models are expected to be on sale this second week of December but the company is mum about the details of the said phones.

Cherry Mobile Flame

Update: Cherry Mobile Flame is priced at Php6,299 and will be released this December.

The Cherry Mobile Flame is said to be the same as the Karbonn A21 from Karbonn Mobiles of India. Basing on this, it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon Processor with 512MB of RAM and  4GB ROM.

It has a 4.5-inch capacitive 5-point multitouch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The 1.3MP secondary camera is located in front that makes video calls possible while the primary camera is a 5MP autofocus with LED flash.

The Cherry Mobile Flame runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and has a 1,800mAh battery.

Cherry Mobile Omega

Meanwhile, the Cherry Mobile Omega is said to be based on the Zopo ZP900 Leader which features a MediaTek MT6577 1GHz, Dual core, ARM Cortex A9 processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB ROM.

It has a large 5.3-inch IPS capacitive display with a QHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels that features 5-point mutitouch capability, bigger than the Cherry Mobile Titan and MyPhone A919 Duo. The unit is powered by a 2,300mAh battery that has 200 hours of standby time.

The Cherry Mobile Omega has an 8MP autofocus rear camera with dual LED flash that can record 720p video and a 2MP front camera. It runs Android 4.0 ICS out of the box and can be upgraded to Jelly Bean.
