The Bourne Legacy film – what to expect?

The Bourne Legacy is the fourth installment of the movie based on Jason Bourne – a character created by Robert Ludlum in his novels. The story is now centered on a new CIA operative, Aaron Cross, that stars Jeremy Renner. It resumes after the conclusion of The Bourne Ultimatum, as a new cast of characters grapple with the consequences of Jason's actions.

The Bourne Series

The film will not be a reboot or prequel in any way, but more likely a "sidequel" or full spin-off with a new character in the mold of Bourne dealing with the ramifications of the Treadstone conspiracy.

The Bourne Legacy will be a movie without Jason Bourne in it. Quite interesting!

I'm a fan of the Bourne films that’s why I bought the original DVD releases of the said film that starred Matt Damon even if torrent downloads are available for I am a supporter of good quality movies.

I’m quite anxious what will be the outcome of this fourth Bourne movie which I hope will be a success as 25% of it is being shot on location in Manila, Philippines right now.

Wikipedia & Reddit Joins Anti-SOPA Protest

Wikipedia and Reddit will participate in the blackout protest in their response to the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) bill, a piece of proposed legislation that is working its way through the US Congress.

Introduced in the US House of Representatives in late October, SOPA aims to crack down on copyright infringement by restricting access to sites that fuel it. This piece of legislation has turned into an all-out war between media companies and tech power players.

Upon visiting Wikipedia’s English site, you will notice a black banner on top of the page informing visitors that “the English Wikipedia will be blacked out globally to protest SOPA and PIPA.” Here’s part of Wikimedia Foundation’s Executive Director Sue Gardner about the said protest:

It’s more fun in the Philippines!

“It’s more fun in the Philippines” is the new slogan of the Department of Tourism in its campaign to boost tourism in the Philippines. It was already leaked in online social networking sites before its official launch and you can see different adaptations of the poster bearing the slogan. Looks like most Filipinos welcome with enthusiasm this new campaign. I also crafted my own “It’s more fun in the Philippines” poster which you can see below. It’s my own little contribution to help boost the country’s tourism campaign.

But not all are happy with this new slogan as some critics say that it’s a rip-off of the Swiss tourism advertisement six decades ago. For a change, I hope that these critics stop whining and being sarcastic but instead divert their energies and creative imaginations by helping this new campaign succeed. This is a challenge for all Filipinos not just for the Department of Tourism.
